About The RiPPLe
The RiPPLe is an annual art event that showcases art made from trash collected from the Clackamas River. The RiPPLe works in conjunction with the non-profit, We Love Clean Rivers, to promote the ideas of sustainability and reuse through art.
The event was started by Jenn Reilly in 2008. Jenn put together a team of artists to work with recovered river depris with the hopes of inspiring the community to make sustainable lifestyle choices. Since its beginning The Ripple has grown each year. In 2010 the event was a huge success, drawing more than 300 people. It is now hosted by KEEN Footwear at their headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
