I find inherent beauty in the naturally worn materials found along the river and the Oregon coast. I add contrast and whimsy by introducing man-made "trash" to these sculptures. My goal is to create a sculpture by simply assembling pieces with a minimum of manipulation to the materials as I found them. I like the balances of materials which are soft and hard, curved and straight, delicate and rugged, natural and man-made.
